About
I am a late twenties Muslim Hijabi housewife in MA, USA with three kids: a daughter that is 6, a son who is 4, and another son who is 8 months. I am homeschooling the two oldest this year using Ad-Duha Institute curriculum, which uses Calvert for the standard subjects. My father is an Imam in the boston area for the Islamic Institute of Boston. I am originally from Lebanon but came to the states when i was 4 years old. I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers, of whom i am the eldest. I am a graduate of Boston College, class of 2000, with a BA in Computer Science and have one year working experience as a programmer. My husband is from Jordan but came to the states to study for his Masters in Computer Engineering at Northeastern University. He also now has an MBA from Babson College. He works as a Product Manager at a computer company. We performed Hajj together in 2003 alhamdulillah.
My interests are Islamic parenting, teaching Arabic, Qur’an, and Islam to children, Home schooling, and Alternative medicine/natural health/Islamic medicine. I am also into organic things, homeopathic medicine, and cooking from scratch. This year i am taking an online course on Islamic Natural Healing with Hakima Karima Burns, hoping to get a certificate in that subject God willing.
The purpose of the blog is to share my experiences in the areas of Islamic Parenting, Natural Health, Islam, and home schooling. I started writing a book called Muslim Mother’s Prayer Manual but i haven’t had the time lately to work on it unfortunately. InshaAllah God willing i will try to start it up again.

Asalaam Alaikum Sister,
I had left a comment on a recent post, but I haven’t seen it come up. I was just wondering if it somehow didn’t work or go through, or if you are waiting to publish it. THank you.
May Allah bless you and your family,
Julie
