In Honor of Spring…
A temporary template change!!! :) My kids and I *personally* smashed the last small pieces of the ice mountain that was in front of our house that has taken forever to melt. I have been watching it everyday - waiting for the day for every last piece of it to melt, but i just couldn’t wait any longer so i started just stomping all over it and called the kids to join me. It felt so good! Bye bye winter. I told them ‘kids - this is the last time you’ll be playing with snow until next year’, and i hope it turns out to be true, because you never know here in boston - we’ve had blizzards in April before. But let’s just forget about that for now for our sanity. Yes, the weather has been a bit warmer this week, but unfortunately most days were too windy or rainy to go out. Figures… but alhamdulillah that it’s getting better and this afternoon was sunny and warm.
I’m working on a special post about Mohamad who is turning 1 on Monday!! It will be the second to last post in his series, then i will make a page titled TGA (transposition of the great arteries) and putting all the links for it there for others to benefit and find it easily inshaAllah.

Alhamdulilah, it was beautiful here today! It was in the 60’s. We grilled out for the first time this year! Yum. And we took a trip to the park. Spring has sprung, subhan’Allah!
Shhhhh… don’t say the B word…….. lol

It’s nice here too today especially. We just came back in the house afetr having an impromptu lunch outside…oh btw…LOVE the new template..maybe I’ll have a blog makeover too! :D or I guess I’ll call it spring blogging :P

Julie, salams, wow you guys are quick - grilling and everything - happy that you’re getting some sunshine and out and about! :)
Nadia, salams, lunch outside - how nice :) it’s too windy here for that but i pray we can do that soon inshaAllah. With MyMinaret it’s very easy to change the template - just a few clicks and it’s changed. But i’m sure it’s easy for you to change the color of yours to a springy color LOL.

btw, i’m having trouble finding time to write about Mohamad because he himself is teething and naps are short. He’s crying right now behind my chair :( And lots of phone calls between travel agents and function halls and friends and family - subhanAllah. Speaking of spring, I need to finish a few subjects for Sumayyah so we can go for a walk outside :)

I want to change the template of my blog to something with all the tabs as on your new template but am not sure how to do it! Is it difficult?? Oncwe you have added the html for the template is there a whole load of other tweaking and fiddling around and risk of messing the whole blog up??

LOL yup springy color it is LOL….oh my Z is teething too…he’ll turn one inshaallah in about 2 weeks…same age as mohamad :)
as for his naps..ahh have always been unpredictable so that’s nothing new to me LOL…in fact I think he’s crying now in the room :P

I went looking for a link to email you, but didn’t find one. I really enjoyed your Mother’s prayer manual. You really should finish it or get help finishing it (maybe your dad can help?). Then get it printed. There is NOTHING out there that deals with mommy blues and challenges, as a muslim. It would make a wonderful gift for new moms. Please think about it! May Allah bless you for writings.

Aischa, wa’alaikum assalam. Sorry about that, i thought i had my email up in the About page but i don’t. I just put it there now. I appreciate your feedback on the Prayer manual. I keep forgetting about it. But honestly, i haven’t had the time to write in the last two years because of pregancy and having a baby which made it hard for me to stay up to write after praying Fajr. I pray i can get back to it soon inshaAllah.
